Fondazione U4I identifies the most innovative research projects with high commercial and social potential born within the three partner universities (Bergamo, Milano-Bicocca, Pavia); supports innovators in covering research and development expenses in order to facilitate the transition from pre-seed to proof of concept and then to the market; facilitates the protection of the three founding universities intellectual property; follows the process

towards patents for new technologies; evaluates the creation of spin- offs and establishes relationships with companies with the aim of directing investments towards the most promising opportunities
